FAQ
How do I book a session?
Send me an inquiry through my contact form, and we’ll start from there! We’ll find a date that works, talk about what you’re looking for, and I’ll answer any questions you may have. A $75 retainer is required to secure your date and is applied toward the total session price.
What payment methods do you accept?
I currently accept Venmo, PayPal, and cash.
I can't find the type of session I'm looking for. Can I still send an inquiry?
Absolutely! The sessions you see on my website are the types of photography I most commonly offer, but that doesn't mean I'm limited to them. I’m always open to creative ideas and love a good challenge, especially when it gives me the opportunity to try something new. If you have an idea in mind, reach out and let’s see what we can create together!
Do you help us choose a location?
Absolutely! I’m happy to help you find a location that fits your family, the type of session you’re looking for, and the look you have in mind.
Do you pose us or guide us during the session?
A little bit of both! I’ll guide you when needed so you never feel like you have no idea what to do, but I don’t want your photos to feel stiff or overly posed. We’ll have fun, interact with each other, and let genuine moments happen naturally.
How many people can be in a family photo session?
Sessions listed on my website include up to 6 people. Additional family members or friends are always welcome for an additional fee—just let me know when you inquire so I can plan accordingly!
What should we wear?
Don’t worry—I’ve got you! After booking, I’ll send you my style guide and am happy to help you coordinate outfits for the whole family. My goal is for everyone to feel comfortable and look like themselves.
When should I book my maternity session?
I recommend booking your maternity session ahead of time so we can make sure to get your preferred date. Maternity sessions are typically best around 28–36 weeks, depending on how you’re feeling and how your pregnancy is progressing.
What happens if my child doesn't cooperate during the session?
Don't worry—this happens! Kids don't always feel like smiling, sitting still, or following directions, and that's completely okay.
I don't expect children to behave perfectly or “perform” for the camera. I'll give them time to warm up, keep things playful, and work with their personality and mood. Some of my favorite images come from the moments in between the poses!
Parents are always welcome to bring a favorite toy, comfort item, or small snack to help their child feel comfortable. Just keep in mind that if a toy comes along, there's a good chance it may make an appearance in some of the photos—and that's okay! It can be a sweet reflection of your child's personality and this stage of their life.
If you bring snacks, please choose something that won't stain clothing or leave crumbs behind.
Do you offer preschool photography?
Yes! Preschool photography is a big part of what I do. I love meeting each child where they are and capturing their individual personality rather than forcing a smile or pose. My goal is to create authentic portraits that both preschools and parents will love.
Do you send out unedited or RAW photos?
No. I do not provide unedited or RAW images. Every image you receive is professionally edited and carefully curated to reflect my photography style.
Do you edit body shapes?
No. I believe every person is beautiful exactly as they are, and because of that, I do not alter body shape during the editing process. This is an important part of my core values and the way I approach photography. My goal is to capture you authentically and help you feel confident and comfortable in your photos.
